I feel so privileged to have had Shannon Laurence-Bade travel a five hour round trip to come and help my pony Louie- treated by the vet for an abscess last Friday- $650but then what- Louie is a scared boy- he doesn’t like interacting with humans- he needs farrier work consistently with his issues- and it has never been done without sedation- even with sedation my farrier never completes the job- he is anxious- flighty and not a happy boy. Well today I saw magic happen- with patience and some serious whispering- he had his wrap removed- the abscess had broken which was awesome news- he had his hooves done without sedation and even had his tail trimmed- I watched a completely different horse interacting with a human- thank you so much Shannon- you truely are the horse whisperer.

Shannon Laurence-Bade we will forever be great full of what you have done for us. You drove just under 7 hours to help us with Bonnie and trim her poor long hooves, when no one else could get near her. You are one special person we are lucky to have as a friend. I know it was a short trip but we hope you enjoyed it, minus the weather.
Three things I have walked away with after spending the weekend with you is:

Words can't express how grateful we are for this amazing woman! Shannon is our Training Coordinator and the reason why our brumbies so successfully transition to domestic life. There's not many brumbies who wait at the gate each morning eager to start their lesson like ours do for Shannon!
Shannon, you truly are the Horse Whisperer - thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
We have been so lucky to of had an incredible horse woman to work with our brumbies! It has been amazing to bear witness to her connections with the brumbies, and to share her gift with us!!
